Hello, I am Benjamin Bertram, an illustrator from Hamburg, Germany.
I develop visual identities for companies and institutions, conceive and design visual worlds, logos, websites, explanatory videos, infographics, print and screen media.
Interesting patterns, shapes, objects and nature inspire me, as well as social and interhuman behavior and communication.
When I create illustrations I’m always passionate about experimenting with different methaphors. I always start off by putting a pencil on a piece of paper. I then continue with whatever comes in my head naturally that day. It often involves fun and free ideas and sometimes experimenting with different drawing techniques like collage or assoziative drawing. In the final step, Photoshop and Illustrator make my illustrations ready for print and screens.
