Lhoist, a global producer of lime and limestone products is aiming to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions across its production chain. The hidden-object image “Rethinking Lime” visualizes the complete lifecycle of lime production, including strategies for capturing, reusing, and reducing CO₂ within industrial processes and across the wider sector. Designed in the company’s visual language and color system, the illustration serves as an internal communication and alignment tool, enabling employees across departments to understand the transformation process and their role within it.
Over 80% of the sketching phase was developed locally with AI-assisted workflows, including vector-focused Stable Diffusion finetunings used to generate and refine compositional studies, later vectorized into a cohesive large-format illustration exceeding six square metres. The project required deep visual and conceptual engagement with limestone production and its systemic relevance to global infrastructure and industry.
