Futur-O-Mat is a game-based educational tool designed to help young people explore personal values, strengths, and social engagement within the framework of a socially and ecologically just future aligned with the UN Agenda 2030. Users create a personalized avatar, complete a psychology-based quiz to identify their core values and strengths, and choose a “heart topic” they want to support. Through interactive mechanics and visual storytelling, the platform translates self-reflection into concrete impulses for action and collective participation.
Developed for use in schools, youth centers, and other educational contexts, the tool provides educators and social workers with structured methods to shift from problem-oriented teaching toward solution-driven thinking and empowerment. It offers a low-threshold entry point to identity exploration, motivation, and collaborative future-building.
The illustration style builds on my 2016 project The Hidden Object Image of the Future, with which the app is directly connected. Futur-O-Mat expands this speculative visual world by enabling users to enter it through their own unique characters, deepening engagement with its themes and environments.
My role in the project combined illustration and prototype development. I created the visual language, character designs, and interface illustrations, and developed the first functional app prototype, establishing the aesthetic and interactive foundation of the platform.
